According to the Alzheimer’s Association’s 2010 Alzheimer’s Disease Facts & Figures, African-Americans & Hispanics are at a higher risk for developing Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia than their white counterparts. Alzheimer’s Association’s Maria Carrillo discussed the findings of the report, as well as what can be done to prevent the disease & how the proposed health care legislation would impact prevention & treatment.
