Stimulus Funded Advanced Power Plant Opens

President Obama visited Holland, MI for the official groundbreaking of the new Compact Power plant. The plant is the last of nine new advanced battery plants funded through the Recovery Act. The Energy Department released a report on the economic impact of the $2.4 billion stimulus investments toward advanced batteries and vehicles. Pres. Obama first announced the initiative to increase the production of domestic electric vehicles last August.
